Description Teachers of students with complex communication needs know that core vocabulary is important FOR their students. However, it is the fringe vocabulary that is important TO their students. Fringe vocabulary are words unique and meaningful to an AAC user. In this session, make and take layers of fringe vocabulary to individualize your studentís augmentative alternative communication (AAC) system.
