Long Title Voices of the Civil War
Description It is important to explore the Civil War era from multiple perspectives; how individuals and communities were changed by the war and how diverse groups of people including slaves, free blacks, soldiers from all backgrounds, women, children and immigrants experienced the war. This session will delve into the Civil War TEKS, examine the data, how the STAAR assessed this time period and explore strategies that can help students understand the various viewpoints.
