Description Writing is an essential component of literacy instruction for ALL students. In order for students with significant disabilities to develop as readers and writers, daily writing is essential. This becomes a challenge when students with significant disabilities are unable to hold a traditional pencil. Create "alternative pencils" for students with the most significant disabilities and share ideas for integrating daily writing activities.
